Dumbest Tax Question I Got This Tax Season

Every tax season, someone says something so dumb that I have to sit back, take a breath, and resist the urge to say in my best SNL Seth Meyers voice "Really?? Really? Like, really??????"

This year’s winner? Someone who tried to write off business expenses...... when they don't own a business. And then, get a load of this.... then he got mad when we said that he doesn't qualify.

I mean, I appreciate the effort. But if the answer's no, the answer's "no."

Apparently owning a business as a pre-req for business tax deduction didn't make sense for this guy.

But hey, comes with the territory, right?

What’s the weirdest tax question you’ve ever heard? Hit reply and let us know. I could use a good laugh.
