Don’t Let The Property Tax Tail Wag The Dog

How much are you paying every year in property taxes? If you're not sure, totally okay, not like this is a pop quiz or something haha.

And if you rent, yes you pay property tax... it's just built in to your rent essentially. 

Now, I've always rented so I've never directly paid property taxes. And same thing for JT. So if you're renting, you're in good company :) If you own and do make those property tax payments, I guess we'll join your club in the coming years yaknow. 

As JT loves to say, you know where athletes go broke? They got a two million dollar home, that's a lot of property tax that you just pay forever.

If you're looking for a new home this year and you're thinking about the property taxes and mortgage interest and how that all helps you tax wise, yes, those can be factors... but don't let the tax tail wag the dog.
